Side note:
If you can run Photoshop, EVE is not a problem. Even with the new planets in Dominion (which are badass, I still love em)

I can run Photoshop on here but I wouldn't be able to run EVE.

I think you could, just would have to have most graphics turned down.
Which is ok, because you really don't need to see ANYTHING except the overview to effectively play.

Actually, I figured if I could play with the graphics at a decent level, I'd be able to do all my programming and 3D Modeling on that laptop. Between a few friends and I we're working on our own Single Player game, that we're going to expand to online.
That's all this laptop's going to be used for is programming, web designing, and 3D Modeling, with a little bit of gaming.

Hey Lordbob,

I'm only going to be mining on this laptop. That's all I'll be doing. It'll just be doing that and only that, no missioning, or pvping. Just mining.

Then you don't even need graphics, just an overview. Mining is simple (Make sure to fit a survey scanner if your in a barge+)

Yeah. I'm in a retriever. I have a scanner, don't worry.

Hit me up on there, names BinaryData. I'll be taking a 2 month break because I can't pay for it atm, but when I come back I'll be having 2 accounts. One to mine constantly with while I'm missioning, and the other is to do missioning/pvping.

So you don't need to go full out $1000+ for a decent laptop that will do what you need to do.

Here's one that might fit the job: Acer Aspire
Lordbob, would this laptop, the one in the link, run most my applications including EVE?

If I buy this laptop, I'll donate some cash to sevenforums for having some sexy members with good knowledge.

Dreadstar, that laptop does not look like it would handle EVE well. The CPU is alright (dual core), but that graphics card is not going to cut it.
