Windows 7 should be banned
Having a few problems with my current Motherboard (Gigabyte P35C-DS3R) so i decided to replace it.
Bought a Gigabyte EP45-UD3LR and was looking forward to spending a lazy Sunday afternoon just pottering around installing it.
Told the Boss ( Wife) that I would be tied up all afternoon doing this urgent replacement.
Swapped out the boards and hit the power switch and it started up installed ALL NEW DRIVERS and was up and running within 5 minutes, I thought this was too good to be true so I hit Activate now and it activated straight away.
I have now been seconded to Vacuuming the house seeing as i have nothing better to do.

I know what you mean lol, I recently did a clean install of XP for a friend on a computer with low hardware resources and a dial up connection (had to download all updates & service packs) took me 4 days
I can reinstall Seven in only a couple of hours, drivers updates & software & i dont have to spend 3 hours tweaking it like i did with Vista

And, here we see the true feelings of those who have made the switch from XP, Vista, Mac OS X, along with Linux to the world of WINDOWS SEVEN.
Ain't computing fun. . .

I went from an Intel DG965RY with C2D E6600 and 2+2G of DDR2 667 MHz to a Gigabyte EP45-UD3R with C2Q 9550 and 2+2+2+2 GB DDR2 800 MHz.
Windows7 booted right up like nothing had happened at all, installed all drivers automatically, and was running perfectly within about 10-15 minutes.
I have posted this experience in an earlier thread, asking whether I should go ahead and do a fresh install anyway.
With Vista, I would have been looking at a repair install, bare minimum.
Most anticlimactic, as I, like kodi, was hoping to get away from a whole evening's worth of shopping with the wife.

yeah we need new beta software from MS the stability and ease of use of 7 is leaving us with to much free time on our hands.

That'll teach you to try and get out of the housework

How long have you been married? Have you not learned to make a job last longer that it's supposed to...especially when there is house work to be done?
