XP, I have to use it right now because the problem I've been having affects both 7 and Vista so I'm waiting til I build my own computer and just start from scratch before I use 7 again.

Valid question, I would choose Vista, but why wouldn't I be able to use 7?

Xp, never used Vista, I upgraded from xp to 7 directly..

But wouldn't mind giving Vista SP2 a chance if I ever had to..

Vista is lost - Microsoft wants you to switch to 7, although Vista will still be supported for a while. However, I can't see who would use Vista anymore if they had access to 7.

For me, on my machine with sufficient (but not overkill) specs, Vista runs fine. That is the only real problem with Vista as far as I have seen, power-hungry and slow.

7 is only improvements to an already good OS.

Vista is the best. I wish they had just added the taskbar, libraries, Trim and homegroup to it. That would have been the ultimate. Who needs all the eye candy - bad for your teeth, LOL.

If I had more gumption I'd love to try Vista on my Intel SSD but I probably never will.
