Today I'm still off work recuperating from the fall I had whilst decorating.
That was on the 8th of March. I broke two ribs and gave myself a slight lung bleed.
Here we are on the 25th and I still have blood in my lung and still can't do much. I've got it down to about 90 seconds to get my trousers on, bit longer taking them off, and sleeping is sporadic.
Also the codeine knocks me out so my decorating is at a dead halt as I either don't have the energy or I go back to bed.
Oh well. I am much better than I was last week and I have the money to buy a monitor for my bedroom pc:) so things are on the up.

    Enjoy your reunion Kari

    Cheers all, John:)
I know exactly how you feel. I had a cracked vertibrae that had to be pinned and cemented together. The surgeon told me it should last OK as he used a fresh bag of portland cement. The pain killers made me feel worse than the pain but I lived to tell the tale. Am making a good recovery but at three score years and ten plus 2 its taking its time. Shall I come up north to hold you hand and we can both comiserate. Now there's a thought. Seriously though hope you get well soon. I was going to say keep laughing but that hurts when you have broken your ribs.

That must be tough, John. I've had bruised ribs, from a seatbelt (at least I was wearing it though! ) before, and I was a wreck....coughing was agony, a deep breath hurt, and if I laid down on my bed, I couldn't sit up unless I scooted my legs off onto the floor first. So I imagine breaking the ribs must be even worse! Hope you recover quickly.

You describe it well noobvious and it is a PITA to live with.
Also thanks for the offer to come up and tend to me Mitchell65 but it's a long way and I don't think there's much you could do except make me laugh and I don't really want that right now.
The other night I watched a repeat of QI that was so funny I had to leave the room and think of Doncaster on a wet Wednesday to stop from LOL!

Seriously though, thanks for the well wishes. It's just getting me down cos it's going on and on. I feel better in most ways, just can't do stuff.
Hey Ho. There are a lot worse situations to be in than sat in front of my computer chatting to nice folk:)

I reckon that Avatar is the best I have seen in a long time. Should it not carry a government health warning though?

I'm more often called a chump than a chimp but if you check my profile page you will see a definite family likeness
