Today I've been sat in the lab for most the morning, part of the afternoon for the 3rd day this week doing my Java project. Doing a chess program and nearly got it finished, got the chessboard and chesspieces placed in the array and on the GUI, need to add the mouse listeners, so I can implement movement, then apply movement rules and then all the other fancy GUI stuff. I would have got a lot more done, but I was making some silly mistakes and was writing the constructor method for the chesspieces in the completley wrong way, so was sat for most of Wednesday wondering why no pieces were being placed on the board.

And that must have been horrible to come to, Kari. Though have fun at CeBIT, I wish I got to go again. Went about 3 or 4 years ago and loved it.

The problem is, he's the son of one of my oldest friends back home in Finland, this trip to Germany was our engagement present to him and the girlfriend.

They stayed here ten days but this morning it looked like nobody had cleaned here in about a year or so.

I really have to show this although I'm really ashamed to do that. This pic shows the small kitchen of the apartment in question. Those empty milk cartons show they drank about 3 liters of milk every day during their ten day visit:
Kari, you should send the pic to his dad, he owes you 2 favors now. That is ridiculous, nobody should leave anybody's place like that, mainly when it was a present.
Send the cleaning and the whiskey bills.

Staying at someone else's place requires you to live by the Boy Scout outdoors code. "Leave the place looking better than you found it."

Today, i experienced my first BSOD with the new system, but it didn't take me long to find out what caused it, and to get everything back in order.

Had a dinner tonight with somebody who might help me to fulfill my longtime dream. I am quite optimistic now, was waiting a bit boring business dinner as usual but met instead a very interesting, I could almost say fascinating person with huge plans and a clear vision.

Came back, sent email to my friends son (re: my earlier posts here today). He's 24 years old, an adult man, I'll try to talk first with him and see if he wants to clear this with me like a man.

Half past one AM, have to start towards Hanover in about 5 hours. Should sleep a bit but this damn insomnia!
