    Had a nice trip, Gary?

I picked up my Nokia N900 today, after several days self caused delay. Currently transferring calendar, messages and notes from the old phone which is going to be found in eBay later today.

Following recent rib breaking, lung puncturing fall I have successfully got in and out of the bath!
This feels like a major triumph but I am now exhausted.

Also considering this as monitor for my bedroom pc (movies/tv etc)

Had a great time, but it was much colder than it should have been. Spent 10 days at dad's (north of Tampa) and 5 of them the birdbath was frozen in the morning. Warmed up for the last 4 days I was there.

Today I continued on with my chess program.

Implemented all capture rules and finished movement rules, including pawns only being able to take pieces on a diagonal move.

Got the UI finished properly, with a text box that prints out the messages such as which piece has just moved where, which needed an override of the PrintStream, so instead of printing messages to the IDE console, it prints it to my text box.

Still need to add an algorithm to check for obstacle pieces when a piece is moving to stop pieces jumping over pieces, promotion rule for the pawn and an algorithm for checking if the King is in check, and it's all done
