Today i shall attempt to install Windows Home Server 2008 R2 on my laptop.

actually im a 2 home owner, i think that means im a property manager now too, it's like real life monopoly. i'll miss watching the ocean waves come in from the back deck in the mornings while i drink my coffee but im eager to get our life here started.
This goes to show that even with a lot of experience, we can sometimes forget the simplest of things and give ourselves a real headache. I left the flash drive plugged in and didn't change the boot order, hence setup starting over and over
Should have read through Brink's tutorial first. Would have saved a bit of time and energy
NoteIf you booted from the USB drive to install Windows 7, then you may need to change the hard drive back to being listed before the USB key in the boot order in BIOS after the computer restarts during installation to prevent the computer from booting right back into the USB key starting the installation process over and over.
