Windows 98?

    Windows 98?


    I just installed Windows 98 with this configuration...

    Pentium 4 Processor 3.00GHz
    512MB RAM
    9.0GB HDD

    Anyone know where I can find drivers for this it`s an HP Pavilion a462x

    I'd try this....


    When the new hardware wizard popup arrives, try putting in a copy of XP in the drive and navigate to the driver folder....that should do it. If you can't do it that way, go to device manager and update the hardware from there using an xp disk.

    Ethernet, and monitor, and My original computer came with XP pre-installed so I don`t have a disk, I tried running XP with the 98 HDD attached and copied the drivers I needed but they wouldn`t install.

    This is where the problem arises the internet won`t work unless I have a Dial-Up ISP so I need an ethernet driver first then I can run MS-Update

    P.S. My Internet it Verizon FiOS with a 100Mbps speed
