I don't know what scares me the most, the fact if life was somewhere else also,
what they would do to us if anything in harmful or what our govt would do to them and what its already doing to us.

The likelihood of us ever encountering anything as uniquely 'sentient' as we perceive intelligence, is so small as to be infinitesimal.

I think it's safe to say, that humans are still the biggest danger to humans.

I suppose you could also think of Fermi's paradox,

Quote:
The galaxy contains roughly a hundred billion stars. If even a very small fraction of these have planets which develop technological civilizations, there must be a very large number of such civilizations. If any of these civilizations produce cultures which colonize over interstellar distances, even at a small fraction of the speed of light, the galaxy should have been completely colonized in no more than a few million years. Since the galaxy is billions of years old, Earth should have been visited and colonized long ago. The absence of any evidence for such visits is the Fermi paradox.

The Sumerian's left behind some pretty interesting artefacts that might suggest otherwise...

It's no "Everybody's Free To Wear Sunscreen", but thanks for that. Have you seen "What The Bleep Do We Know", or "The Secret"?

If there is a way to change the preview that shows on windows media clips, for example, i have a pile of .avi movies and they all show a single frame of the movie in the icon, i guess it makes easier to tell what movie it is. The problem is that it seems it uses a frame quite early in the movie,...
