    Hmmmmmmm, with 48, first I'd get me some of them platform shoes with glass and live fish swimmin' in 'em. Then I'd get me a big round brown felt hat. Then I'd have me a leopard coat... and got to have big spinners on my wheels.. and... oh .. wait a second.. it's 48 cores!! Nevermind.

Hi, in my DXdiag my CPU is as follows: intel core i5 CPU 650 @ 3.2GHz (4 CPUs),~ 3.2 GHz Does this mean that I have just a 2 core or a quad core with 4 "threads" whatever that is?

I have a AMD 955 Quad but now it's only showing 3 cores on my gadget. Is there a way to check this out so I'm wondering if there is something wrong with my CPU?

Windows Task manager says that System Idle is using most of the memory and it has over 175 threads created last i checked. :eek: I am almost afraid to start a program, this cannot be good for the longevity of my CPU. I'm gonna guess this isn't completely normal. OK, I have owned desktops...
