im gonna go ahead and assume your on cable RST101? Virgins ADSL service is shockingly bad
Fortunately I am living in an area which allows for cable so yes I am.

Although I'm on 20mb they have just switched on the 50mb and now the devil in my is urging me to go for that one, which I don't really want to do as they are currently testing the 100mb around here and I might jump on board that when it arrives.

    Hi there
I'd rather FASTER UPLOAD than a change from 20mb to 50 MB.

Even on 20mb sometimes upload speed is as slow as 0.8mb - which makes using RDP a nightmare for any serious work where you need to connect to a home computer.

I wish the ISP's would offer a DECENT choice of both DOWNLOAD AND UPLOAD speeds -- I know of course they are scared sh---ess offering fast uploads because people could host all sorts of file sharing sites over which they'd have no control.,

I'd be quite happy with an upload speed of 3 - 5mb -- a 20mb download speed is more than enough for me.

    Cheers

    Thank god........Good bye to WILDBLUE

Finally got a new ISP available "Wi-power (Transworld Network)" microwave.

Due to the lack of latency issues, the effective feel is at least twice as fast as Wildblue on its' best days at the same download speed, its' half the cost and most important, NO FAP down load limits .

I can DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THIS ISP.

Im with Rogers, they gave me a new modem/router that they modified to force you into forwarding your gateway. and you cant disable it.. port 80 is now in use... and guess what? it also has a protocol analysis feature that i also cant disable which makes it impossible to use a port with a protocol that it wasn't "intended for" now i cant forward a http service on any port but 80, which is in use.. great... 1/10 for you rogers.
