I visited Winfields which is a cheap shoe superstore selling remaindered shoes, boots, trainers and some clothing.
They had a little sub-section selling a few cheap electrical items and in there I found a box full of Logitech Trackman ball mice. I got one for £3.50.
This was three years ago and it's still going strong and I believe it's still available at full price so quite a bargain:)
18 months ago i bought a belkin lazer mouse for £7 in TK Max it would have been £24 elsewhere.
I got 3 Dell Latitude D600's, three copies of XP Pro, MS Office 07, and a Dimension 4500 with a 500GB hard drive in it for free.
Parent's work is overloaded with computers, I could probably get about 10 more of the laptops.

Hi there
I got some seriously good stuff ( 3 decent working machines with 250 GB discs in them as well) from a Council Tip (now rebranded as a "Re-Cycling centre") in South London UK when I was on a contract in that part of the world.
Luckily some people in the UK's capital have too much money -- no harm in relieving them of some of it.
I'm using one box as a W2008 Server -- simply for file / printer sharing.
I'm using another as a Stand alone Audio music server
I'm using the 3rd one as a stand alone Internet box - this is what I use if I need to download anything from the net --I can check that it's OK before copying it to machines on another LAN.
Cheers

It's amazing how some can throw away...Few years ago found in such garbages collector a dvd/cd Player Samsung DVD-907 absolutly brand new...just because this model doesn't plays mp3s but classic Dvds & Cds....still working fine.
It had to be my last Quad Core 2.50 (£150). Bargain in my books, brand new straight from Taiwan and yes it was genuine
