    2 free Microsoft Press eBooks

I would try it from IE. The link takes a while to load for some reason. and you might have to rename to .pdf as it might be named pdf_loader.pl. But I downloaded from IE and saved without having to rename them.

    Hi there
Do please post the caveat here.

Before you can get these you have to either login or Sign up to Windows LIVE.

I HATE windows live. OK YMMV as everybody has their own preferences - but I try and avoid registering in for anything these days -- avoids SPAM , Junk mail etc etc.

I Hate those sorts of sites that say "FREE this or that" and then there's a whole slew of other stuff you have to do before you can actually get the free stuff -- and often the Free stuff merely contains a severely hobbled version and prompts you via nagware to "Upgrade to a Pro version" etc.

    Cheers

    Thanks Aaron,

Downloaded via Firefox, though does take a long time to load the page, have used the Microsoft press downloads before and it's always like that, but it's completely spam free here so that's OK.

One thing to note is that the VB book loads without the PDF toolbar so I had to use CTRL-S to save the file.

The live ID is a useful thing to have and I have found it to be totally controllable - if you read what your clicking you can always select to receive any further mailings or not.
