I am sure it has been brought to attention but it comes down the "money" you need to spend money to make money.

We could easily sell Seven Forum t-shirts, but I for one don't like wearing shirts with brands on them. No free advertising!

honestly i can't imagine that selling t shirts and coffee cups would bring in a large enough income for the site to make it worthwhile.

I basically feel as you do; but since membership here is free and the advice is free, I would wear a Seven Forums tee-shirt. I do wear tee-shirts form a couple of organizations I belong to simply to support and promote the organization.

This would be a non-starter. It would cost a lot of money to have this sort of thing set up, with no guarantee whatsoever that you are going to recoup your outlay, let alone make a profit from it. For one thing, running a website is an expensive business (especially when you have 3 of them), and diverting finance away from the site to pay for this merchandise would be very risky. Besides, we have nearly 70,000 members, so we don't really need this sort of gimmick.

What if I wanted a Hat?
Or maybe to get it embroidered on a Polo?

I can promise to follow this thread very carefully. If the need for tuts regarding hats, mugs, pins etc. arises, I'll draw the appropriate conclusions and make them.

    Yours, sincerely
