There was simply no reason to switch over. While XP was a hit in the corporate world and with consumers, Vista was definitely destined to be a consumer OS. Plus, if ain't broke, don't fix it. Why would they risk money switching over to something they probably won't need and are unsure will work with their existing infrastructure?
I agree all the way. And the same held true for government agencies at all levels of government.

You can't rep in the chillout room, so just rep him in another section.

I should have been more specific. There's no reason other than compatibility. If you don't mind me asking, which apps?
Simply Accounting 2009 for one, ran great under Vista Home Prem64.

2009 runs on 7 with some compatibility issues. 2010 is fully compatible. Why don't you make the switch?

Did switch, just ticked me off that I couldn't Email invoices or open saj files. Still think there should have been a patch, would
have saved me the trouble of dual booting with vista.
I usually have to hang on to the previous version because clients don't always update as quickly. And if I covert everything to 2010 then the
clients can't open the files I return to them.

I joined. I checked if there was something where I could assist, or learn (I'm still using Vista on a virtual machine).

After only 11 posts, I'm already debating with a troll... (why updates? - Vista Forums)

But I promised to myself I'll try

I can't find the thread now but wasn't there a guy suggesting merging the forums? I'm not for or against. But with the rate of traffic on Vista, it may be inevitable. By the time Windows 7 SP1 is being installed by everyone, Vista may be relegated to sub-forum status.
