I know most of you out there are ex-Vista lovers and have settled in nicely here at SF. But, Vistax64 has haemorrhaged heavily with the lack of experienced users. If you are experienced and can help vista users, please help out!

    Vista Forums
Perhaps I should have inquire in what area of Vista Forums is the help needed. I just picked out a couple of threads with no posts and before the OP can respond a dozen others have already posted behind me? There doesn't seem to be any lack of volunteers there? Did I just misunderstand?
Are the names the same there, responding to questions? It's probably just our influx. Or it could be the newsgroups.

It's definitely turned into a ghost of it's former self activity wise.
Well ... I just found 200 "Unanswered Threads" so instead of quad posting on a thread I responded to, why not try one of those?

There are probably as many users still running Vista as there are XP!
Were there ever as many users running Vista as XP?

Without a doubt, there were more users running XP than Vista.

Quite recent statistics, small variations depending on the source:

Thought that was the case. In the business world, very few switched to Vista.

There was simply no reason to switch over. While XP was a hit in the corporate world and with consumers, Vista was definitely destined to be a consumer OS. Plus, if ain't broke, don't fix it. Why would they risk money switching over to something they probably won't need and are unsure will work with their existing infrastructure?

I agree. I think I ran Vista for about a month before I went back to XP-Pro SP3. I initially liked Vista because of all the new eye candy, but in the end, it was way too bulky, and sucked up the resources. Running XP with Stardock Window Blinds was a more practical solution for what I was looking for. Windows 7 on the other hand is simply amazing!
