    just my thoughts....

Im sure im not the only one that is getting fed up at the over exaggerated microsoft bashing especially vista on 95% of forums etc....one thing i have noticed is the ppl flaming windows 7 that clearly havent even used it..grrr!!!!! i also think that many ppl bashing vista probably havent used that either!!! it really aint as bad as ppl seem to think..to be honest the general person on the street probably doesnt really care...they just buy a new pc and just use whatever OS is installed n thats that!!!!

Im no microsoft fanboi, however ppl seem to forget the problems they had with windows XP b4 service pack 1 (myself included)!!! Vista now works just fine with SP1 with a suitably spec'd machine...times do move on
I remember ppl complaining that XP was tooo proccessor hungry to work efficiently on their older spec'd machines...sound familier?? lol

Ppl commonly complain about drivers for printers etc not being supported for example...is this mainly not down to the 3rd party software venders to update their drivers etc is it not???....imagine the task of microsoft having to make their OS compatable with all the thousands of different and sometimes obscure apps and hardware out there!!!...it just isnt realistic i dont think!!
Also to the vista hater's out there that want to move to OSX....The difference that ppl seem to forget is they make their OS to specificly work with their own hardware..so of course its going to work out the box!!...every PC really is custom made so of course we will encounter a few more problems!! but belive me, MAC ppl aint without their own problems howerver they jus dont like to shout about it!!!! (it cost twice as much so its GOT to be twice as good..ahem..) lol jus pop along to their forums especially in the summer when leapard comes out .....Im not an apple basher either i think OSX is gr8 but my PC cost £1200...for they equivelent mac i would have to spend....£......fill in the blanks!!!

Linux is gr8 but it still really isnt option for the general public, its a lot more user friendly than it used to be but it still requires quite a learning curve for an average user....
Quote me if im wrong on anything ...just my thoughts for today!!!!!

I agree with you, I mean people forget about all the problems with Windows XP and older OS. It's just the same thing over and over again when Microsoft comes out with a new OS.

Why be concerned? If it works for you, then there is no issue. If I am happy, I don't give a rat's ass what anyone else thinks.........F 'em

Some of those same people forgetting about the problems with XP are the same ones that now complain about Vista and extol the virtues of XP.

Over at Vista x64 forums, I found this *juicy* tidbit concerning one pompous airbag named Randall C. Kennedy, and his 'dissertation' on Windows Vista, and how Ed Bott called him out on saying the exact same thing about XP back in 2001. Read Ed's blog to view the incriminating evidence: Remembering Windows XP's early days | Ed Bott’s Microsoft Report | ZDNet.com

It just goes to show you that there are at least a few self-aggrandizing individuals who will jump on any bandwagon just to get a buck for a blog.
