well as you actually mentioned an invention that was invented by an american i've got to say fair play to you,
In the interests of fairness however heres some inventions that weren't
Television - John Logie Baird -Scottish
The Telescope - Gallileo - Italian
The Lawn Mower - Edwin Budding - English
The Steam Locomotive - Robert Stephenson -British (scottish i think)
I think "All Fools Day" is even pre-christian, like a lot of the festivals.
Oh. And thanks to Sir Tim Berners-Lee, without whom we wouldn't be having this conversation
Good Lord, please do spare us the British snobbery.
It's suppose to be April fools. Let's stress the April part of that only.
madmax, i wasnt being snobby, i meant it to be tongue in cheek, if you read the posts that came before you would see that we were simply bantering... i was continuing with it
Max! Don't get mad! I too was continuing Milesahead's banter:)
They do say Coca Cola reinvented Christmas as we know it today and I think they're an American company, not sure what they make.
That's enough to make anybody proud and happy
