fact is there are major operating differences between 32bit and 64 bit.
today the issues are small as it will take time for pure 64bit software and hardware to come out.
and when they do, there will be TONS of newbies who cant tell the difference. if half the conversation is what bit is the software and what bit is the os it will be a night mare.

Just as we now have to remind some posters to provide their specs, we may have to remind someone to tell us what version he/she is running. No big deal; it will take two posts to clear that up. And some people are running both 32 & 64 bit systems.

Bottom line, it is working just fine as it is. If it ain't broke...

Got me confused. I run Windows 7 64bit and most of my apps are 32bit since 64bit versions are not available yet. If I have a problem with a 32bit app in what section should I post? I think it is fine like it is so that is how I voted.

    you never answered my question..

is there any software that Ultimate & Enterprise will run that starter and home will not?
    are there different drivers?
are the updates the same? or do special ones come out for Ultimate & Enterprise?
    any other basic limitations?

not lots of intelligent conversion going on. what is now degraded into name calling.
    good luck with that.

i can see why they have a chill out room
im just surprised it dose not have more posts in in
unless they delete them from time to time to reduce the impact

When my laptop wasn't dead, I tried using Macrium Reflect Image & Backup Free Edition on Starter. It didn't work, worked on Home Basic + though. :)

did you have Microsoft Volume Shadow copy Service installed or running??
need more information to know why it did not work..

and then come you. Second day as a member, 16 posts, over third of them in this thread, which you started with your third post.
well kari, im guessing that at 13 posts a day on average since you joined this forum, you definitely have a lot to say to a lot of people, if the helpful information you provided here is any indication, im sure everybody is every happy to be "helped" out by you.
good job, you bring happiness and joy where ever you go.

Nutz, you misunderstood my point. I tried to explain it to you that for instance different editions of Win7 have more differences than x86 and x64. For me, it seems that this your passion to get an x64 forums goes a bit too far, coming from a member who has just joined.

We are, like I mentioned, over 70,000 quite happy members here, liking and using the Seven Forums as it is.

    P.S. Thanks, Tews.
