or if they do, it is so tekky, to the point of creating more questions than answers.
I believe that is an arrogance thing. When they post technical information that they KNOW the person they're posting to won't understand, it feeds their ego, and gives them a sense of superiority. It's completely counter productive to do that, and it makes the OP feel like an idiot. I hate it when people do that. When males do it to females, there's a whole lot more reasons than just ego too. I won't even open that can of worms. Don't people just piss you off sometimes?

As for SevenForums, I'm hopelessly addicted to this place. Without a doubt the best group of friendly people on a forum I have ever joined. This place rocks!

You are so right. I always like to get a feel for the level of prior knowledge of the OP and tune the answer accordingly. That's why I like to use pictures along with the verse. Most times it explains things better than lengthy verse.

I hear that Wolfgang. I never assume the level of understanding of the OP. Sometimes you can get a feel for it by the post though. If not, I post very low level technical info. Like I'm addressing someone who knows absolutely nothing about their PC. It saves a lot of time, and is more productive. We're here to help people, NOT confuse them, or make them feel stupid. I loathe people who do that on purpose.
