I'm sorry, but AMD is just really... out of it. They and ATI both. Not only is AMD more concerned with breaking a world record (hence, being the "first to do something") but ATI uses GDDR 5 graphics memory... really?!!!! Totally unnecessary. It astounds me that Nvidia's GTX series blows these supposedly "awesome" GDDR 5 chips out of the water, just as much as it astounds me that Intel's Core i7 can blow the latest AMD fiasco out of the water. For me, my Core 2 Duo overclocked to 2.97 from 2.4 is incredible. No problems, no... noticeable anything. The last time I had an AMD, I had to take the tower into Computer Renaissance (now bankrupt) and have them fix it up on more than one occasion.

Out of it? I think we should all be happy they're here and fighting back because they're the only ones stopping prices from shooting through the roof.

Okay, good point. Stay there, AMD! I like affordable Intel CPUs.

This still isn't going to make me switch to AMD...

HA! you said affordable... hardly. You know how much it costs them to make these things? Intel is getting us good, always has been. But I still like their processors more than AMD... sort of luxury tax.

But for the first time in my life I purchased a i7 920 (a processor) that cost less than the motherboard i put it in (an evga x58). Explain to me where that came from? $300 motherboard sheesh... hope its nice.
