I'd definitely take this over the iPad. I don't have time to read the article, but I remember reading it was Android-based? As an iPhone owner, I say down with the iPhone OS as the primary consumer smartphone OS, and up with Android!

The WePad is a 11.6-inch Tablet with color touch screen (1366 × 768 pixels) without a keyboard, which weigh around 800 grams and will run for six hours. Netbook is tight in technology: Intel's Atom N450 at 1.66 GHz and graphics chipset, plus 16 or 32 GB flash memory. In addition to two USB ports and SD card slot WLAN and Bluetooth are built, UMTS is optional. Speaker and microphone are available, as well as a headphone jack. At 29 cm by 19 cm by 1.3 cm thick is the WePad slightly larger and heavier than Apple's iPad 120 grams, but similarly shallow.
Sounds interesting

The operating system is not inappropriate for these devices Windows 7 is used, but with a Linux specially modified surface. A download-Shop will make available to the user with appropriate programs, including e-mail, browser include, social networks, and various widgets. About a wrapper can WePad also run Android applications. Flash applications and Adobe AIR are also planned. The reading software synchronizes WeMagazine Reader e-books and newspapers, including bookmarks with a PC client.

The manufacturer will perform in April, first pre-series devices and sell the series in May. The WePad will be available in retail stores, also can provide publishers with a logo bearing its own variants. Here, both the branded WePads as well as from the retail display all content. Prices neofonie called yet, but will undercut iPad especially in models with more flash memory Apples.
I think I'd problably get something like this, if only because then I don't have to install ****in' iTunes.

agreed.... why itunes feels the need to copy my music into its own folder rather than just reading it from the "Music" folder is beyond me...
