I'm not seeing any Rep Power / Given etc sections on my CP page.

    does this mean:
    a) I don't have any power?
    b) I'm looking in the wrong place?
    c) Something-else?

It looks like you've not received any yet from my view, but I think you start with 10 points, after your newbie stage. I'm sure staff can clarify that better.

Rep power is built by you giving reputation to someone. The more you give rep, the higher your rep power becomes.

Well first off you must have received some rep to get a green "blob" If you had none that would be grey! When you click on User CP you should see
"Windows 7 Forums » User Control Panel" at the top. Then there should be three sections

    1. New Subscribed Threads:
    2. Latest Reputation Given
    3. Latest Reputation Received

    What do you see?

Have you ever paid or received any rep? If no, the thing is not disclosed. But still you have some power. It may be one or even three :) Depending on whom youu are tipping rep

I think it's the other way around Carl, with all due respect.

As I have seen ... it depends on three things . The rep you received, the rep you given and the number of your posts

I may well be confused then. It seems to me that my rep power increases as I rep others. My own rep totals are definitely based on the rep given me.
