They look more like bricks but a "chip" is old "American" for pooh.

Joan, as a side note, dried buffalo chips were widely used as fuel for fires by American Indians, cowboys, hunters and trappers in the old West.Now you are educated!

Dont forget they are also used in "chip" throwing contests too!

Oh I knew that Carl and the native Indians only killed them when they needed to and used most everything from a kill to survive.:)
