Not to sound "Anti-American" but you might find that we are bit more compassionate about our neighbors in this world we all call home, despite the cries of the Sarah Palins or Rush Limbaughs.
Oh...And let's not forget, poorer countries helped us out during the Hurricane Katrina fiasco, but we won't talk about that.
While I can understand your frustration of our government's lackluster support of social programs to help the less fortunate, we as humans have a duty to help those in need. Whether abroad or at home. Anything less is sheer ugliness.
My two cents.
Well I don't follow politic as I wouldn't vote for any of them so I don't care for what they say so I have no clue what the comment about those 2 people means.
As for it being ugly what I am trying to say is something that already is very ugly. Everyone agrees we can't afford these people I am just one of a few who has the courage to say anything.
Be as compassionate as you like, just don't make rash choices like where to place disaster victims in the middle of a City that can't take care of its own.
I guess I wouldn't invite others into my home for dinner when I don't have enough food to feed myself let alone 4 guests, and that's what Florida is doing in my opinion. It feel like they are putting them here not caring that they could struggle or fail to survive just to please themselves saying well we gave them a chance in sunny FL.
hm this made me think of something written a couple thousand years ago.... kinda interesting that its so accurate....
Ted ought to see a doctor about that cough of his. Seriously though, I know that the San Andreas Fault runs through California, so is there currently heightened activity with that? Hope it's not affecting you too much, Aaron. :)
