Archie Comes Out (sort of)

Archie Comics announces new gay character - CNN.com

Something tells me it's going to take a heck of a lot more than a gay character to make Archie and the Riverdale gang relevant and contemporary. The producers would achieve more by updating the characters and their world to reflect today's times.

It just makes sense to have an openly gay character in Archie comic books

True.

But then Riverdale just wouldn't be the same if it were filled with gang bangers, teen pregnancy and meth-heads all texting and networking on Facebook. The list is endless...

Whether it's token gestures, or a complete overhaul - trying to 'keep current' and 'relevant' ruins these sort of franchises.

You know, that actually does make sense.

Jughead was merely a misogynist - yet Reggie - yes, I can definitely see that

Girls understand a man at the end, pal ! When a lot of attractive girls are attracted to you , you must have something manly
And thst's ARCHIE ! Almost all girls there dying on him , and you say he makes love with Jug ? One of you must be crazy (I hope Archie is not )

[ Dont get angry, pal! I'm just joking ]
