    Anyone got a Kodak Zi8?

Hi, today I bought a Kodak Zi8 camera and I'm just wondering if it is safe to use the attached USB on a PC.

I wonder because the USB slots are off the ground and therefore when I plug the camera in it has its full weight resting on what seems a quite flimsy USB connection.

In the manual it is attached to a laptop so the camera can be rested flat on the table whilst being plugged in.

Has anyone got this camera and how do they use it on their PC's?

    Thanks.

I am planning to buy one. I will be interested how this works out. Couldn't you just take the card out and transfer the files from there. That's how I do it with my current Sony.

    Hi
My comp doesn't have a SD reader so I cant. It's probably fine using the USB but I just wanted to make sure as it seems a little risky. I'm sure Kodak wouldn't make it so it cant be used on most PC's without buying an extension.

As for the camera I'm very impressed. Only done a couple of short tests but so far the picture has been brilliant and the camera is very simple to use. It's is also very light and stylish.

    Thanks for the reply.
