Jobsian drones shackle gamer with 'lifetime' iPad ban

Quote:
A US gamer has been banned from ever buying another iPad. Why? He reached his "lifetime limit".
Who knew that such a limit existed? Not The Reg.

...
Using the handle Protocol Snow, the now-banned iPad buyer tells his story of intrigue in a personal blog post. But be forewarned: as he notes, the post "is getting hammered with traffic and load times are quite substantial".

...

It seems Snow wanted to pass a few iPads to fellow NeoGAF gaming forum members outside the US who were craving their own "magical and revolutionary" devices, but whose hopes had been dashed by Apple's decision to delay international iPad sales by a month.
And so, being a Good iSamaritan, he took it upon himself to buy multiple iPads and ship them to his fellow gamers, charging them only enough extra to cover tax, shipping, insurance, and Paypal credit card fees.

Apple seem to be enjoying their continual image tarnishing...

They are making a case for crappiest country of the year. However, I doubt all this negative press with hurt their sales any. Apple-philes are an extremely dedicated lot, you know.

I shudder to think that I considered an Apple instead of a PC when I purchased my "first" computer.

Ironically, it would have saved you a lot of money in long run - you never would have become part of upgraders anonymous

The increasingly heavy handed approach Apple have been taking lately, is very reminiscent of the 'Evil Microsoft' image that turned consumers towards Apple in the first place...

It's as if the veil has slipped a little, giving consumers a real peek at what being part of the 'Apple Family' is really like - and it's not all smiles and sunshine.

Being serious on the values of my religion, I don't take blasphemy kindly in my mind. But this, Apple? Jesus.
