    Windows 7 Utilities: SkyDrive Explorer

    (This is not really news)

Need an extra 25GB of free online storage? SkyDrive may be your answer. For those unfamiliar with SkyDrive, it’s a service offered to Windows Live subscribers for 25GB of free online storage. The only thing you’ll need to gain this extra space is a Live ID or Hotmail email address. Once you are signed up for the Live service, you’ll have immediate access to SkyDrive. The only problem with SkyDrive is the inability to access those files without opening a browser and logging into your Live account. Why Microsoft doesn’t give Windows 7 user’s direct access to this drive via mapping isn’t clear, but for those looking to avoid the logging in-and-out of a browser, SkyDrive Explorer is the solution to this conundrum and best of all, it’s free.
