This cup is getting waaaay interesting... Probably North Korea will win
We had a debate today about what would happen if the two Koreas got to the final.

We came out with two outcomes:

Nuclear War!

Or temporary piece on Earth.

I know which one I'd rather have.

Windows 7 x64 finally!

I don't know, but Kim and Park would surely score.
Sorry if any Koreans reading, but you must admit that it is unusual two players with exactly the same name in a team...

No electrical fires then?

The alst server I fiddled with started to Smoke and it turned out I'd left a small rubber band and a piece of paper on a rather badly insulated wire.

Of course by the time I realised this therubber band had melted onto it and the paper was gone .

Luckily the server kept going to my amazement.

I never got to use an AS400. When I studied, we used VAX and Series 38 rigs. Series 38 was the immediate predecessor of AS400.

Was it still recently used, or already forgotten in warehouse?

A lightening strike knocked our power out for a couple of hours. Not unusual in the summer time here. I have battery backup; so I was able to safely shut down my computer.

She probably can't stand doing something with someone looking over her shoulder.

I had a rare occasion yesterday to spend all day together with Angie, just two of us. With help from a good friend and a new nurse who we found out is very flexible and eager to help, Angie got a full 24 hour period free from taking care of her ailing mother.

It was a nice day, acting like newlywed tourists in our own city. Wining and dining, some dancing, long walk following the nearby river Elbe. Of course we did not forget Mutti, as we call my mother-in law; she loves Ice-cream, especially in her favorite Italian coffee shop in a nearby shopping mall combined with some window shopping, so we surprised her and pick her up in afternoon. She loves these "small" portions of Ice-cream:

Life is, once again, as good as it can be. To be honest, it seems there can be life outside Seven Forums. I really should remember that more often

For those who may have a similar issue in future have a look at Produkey, which is a freeware portable tool which runs from a USB drive and recovers the keys, as a standard user, without invoking the UAC.

ProduKey - Recover lost product key (CD-Key) of Windows/MS-Office/SQL Server

As it also recovers the OS key it may be useful for those occasions when the last administrative account is deleted and the key is required for a re-install.

Another program from Nir Sofer at NirSoft - freeware utilities: password recovery, system utilities, desktop utilities
Good on ya Nigel!
