Robert, you will really enjoy the grandchild. I have seven and each one is a delight. They range in ages from almost three to 18.

Today ... the Wife and I will have been married 37 years ... to each other even!

AND ... sometime around November ... we will become Grandparents as well. :)
    Well, double congrats then, Robert!
Seems like long-lasting marriages are becoming the exception rather than the norm in today's society.....so I'm glad you have defied the odds. And grandparents....ready to start spoiling them?

I have been at Hastings College doing my English course to-day. I saw this 1968 Plymouth 383 afterwards.
I don't really like the color, but I would love to take it for a drive.

You are most certainly blessed. We are looking forward (with some small anxiety) to our first!

Thank you so much, Randy. And yes, I think it is about time for a little "payback" ... spoil the grandchild and then give it back to Mom! (I'm kidding ... didn't spoil mine ... not going to spoil the grandkids. Just going to enjoy myself.)

Thank you, Dennis. Yes, looks like you got a few years on us. Sadly, people of honor don't always get that "medal of honor" they deserve. I would say your wife is a lucky woman to have you.

I haven't mentioned it before, but I was born in an Army hospital. Dad was a Korean War Veteran and we moved every three years (most of that time stationed 'overseas') 'till he retired in 1963, so that makes me purdy much an Army Brat. The wife's Mom was an Army Nurse and her Dad was in the Judge Advocate General's office assigned to the Arabian Peninsula, so she is almost an Army brat. Seems when we met, we had a lot in common ...

Thank you Dave! And I agree, kids do grow up too soon. I can still remember holding my oldest, barely a day old, sitting in the rocking chair and unable to hold back the tears. Now they are all married and having kids of their own ...
