    Do you mean on the Google page itself or somewhere else?
    On the Google page with the new background pictures. Perhaps it is different in the US! Below is a screenshot showing the UK version. My home page previously was www.google.co.uk
    Perhaps if you put that in the address bar first then followed my guide, it might work.

    Today I became elegible to downgrade my iPhone contract price by £5 ($7) and did so at the first chance .

    Had another thought, whats actually in your address bar, If it is different to this Google "www.google.com"
    The click this link and see if that gives you the plain page it gives me. If so just make it your Home Page!

    If you want a guaranteed white background on Google, check out Google

    It's not exactly normal Google but it's a foolproof option .
