I have no dog to walk so I went to pub with paintings of dogs doing sports on the walls, to have two beers. Back now.

Today I managed to narrowly avoid adding to the states traffic revenue again. Twice.

When Mr Policeman (hidden on top of another steep hill - notice a trend?) and despite only being just 10km/h over the limit AND already heavily on the brakes, had me painted with his LADAR and started to motion me to the side of the road to give me another 'fine present', I politely declined his invitation and took a quick turn up a side street before he had the chance to give me his 'fine present'. Ha.

In Australia, there is a dying tradition of flashing your high beams to oncoming traffic to indicate a speed trap ahead. It's a courtesy thing that also happens to be 'illegal'.

So, still freshly indignant from yesterdays 'happy snap' surprise in the mail, plus my earlier near miss - I decided to keep this tradition alive on my return journey. (The spider was still on the other side of the road, readying his web).

As I was merrily and courteously flashing my high beams at the oncoming traffic, one of the oncoming traffic just happened to be another police car who apparently took umbrage at this 'courtesy flash' and proceeded to attempt a u-turn to come and get me.

Needless to say, I did not stick around for another potential 'fine present'

Was I technically in the wrong on both occasions? According to the 'law' - Yes.

However, was I morally doing anything wrong? In my opinion, that's an emphatic NO.

    Congrats Serg :)

Today, I just cleaned my glasses and am amazed how much clearer everything looks now.
Maybe I should've done that last week when I first thought of it.
