    TV and Compter

Finally got my yard sale streamer up and running. Have it hooked to my 58" LCD 1080p TV. The screen is wonderful, I am setting back about twelve feet from the screen and can read everything perfectly.

The screen is 1920 X 1080 with no distortion, or faults. Running Win 7 Forums in SF Black, and it is just great (like the black better than the white).

Ran a couple of videos (Shaina Twain) and the picture wasn't all that bad (was truly surprised).

Haven't tried any of the streaming site yet, albeit will post back when I do. The sound is great because it is run through the stereo which I but in the party mode (all 6 speakers). Now I can really rock the house. It helps when you live out in the middle of nowhere, and your nearest neighbor is half a mile down the road, and I am the only one living in the house (3300 sq ft).

Should of done this a year ago.

    Lee,

I have wanted to get the same set up. Waiting for my 50" 720Res one dies. My son gave it to us.
Did your new tv come with built in speakers? Our Samsung did plus I hooked up stereo speaker's to it but when you have both systems running there is a split second in sound and it has an echo sound.
    But where you live......Who cares?
Hang in there and have a great week end!

Yes the TV came with an excellent set of speakers, however, I use the stereo system because I can go with digital out and get true surround sound (really nice).

Not to brag or anything but using the PC as a video source is great and I have been doing it for about 10 years or so, back before they coined the term HTPC.
