UEFA is always biased against English clubs

    Hi all

When you look at Man U, Liverpool and Chelsea you can see that English football is by far the most exciting in Europe.

Even the mighty "Barca" only got through last night due to at least 2 and possibly 4 flagrant penalty infringements not being awarded by the Referee (who with his experience was like an Icelandic Sunday morning league official) - OK the referee was Norwegian but football from that country is of a similar standard to Iceland anyway.

UEFA really did NOT want ANY english clubs in the final and especially not the same two who appeared last year.

By appointing a "Micky Mouse" referee who I'd be ashamed to allow to be an official at a school game for under 11 year olds they got their wish by "cheapening" the whole competition.

I just hope Man u now really THRASH Barca -- FOR all genuine footie supporters.
I know a lot of people HATE Man U but we shouldn't allow a team to win who on any footballing criteria whatsoever shouldn't be in the final in the first place.

    Cheers

Yes totally agree jimbo. Platini would like to see the Italian and Spanish clubs to do much better but unfortunately for him it is not going to happen anytime soon. Why he has got this issue with us I don't know, but if he had his way well............ As much as he'd like to do there is nothing much he can do because of the power these clubs have. They would just break away and create their own league.

Chelsea were a bit unlucky last night and the officials decision on a number of incidents was well dodgy to say the least. A little back hander anyone?

By the way as I'm a LFC fan I'm sure you can appreciate it when I say "come on Barca"

12eason how did you fix his post?

I'm sure Man U will win now -- they are even Better in scoring goals in the 93rd minute without needing a biased referee. They'll have it wrapped up long before them I suspect.

Was interesting to see in the UK press that the Referee had to be given a Police escort on the way to his plane at Heathrow and be bundled on board like the deportation of a "Terrorist".

(Will the Met police be able to reclaim the expenses from UEFA and return it to hard pressed taxpayers).

I hope he drowns in AQUAVIT (AKEVITT) when he gets back to Norway.

    Cheers

Well as a neutral to whoever won the match last night, I thought that Barcelona were the better team ,and had more desire to win than Chelsea, and played far better football ,as for the ref being bias, I don't think so, and out of the four penalty decisions that Chelsea said that they should have got,I think only one of them was a legitimate claim for hand ball, but seen as the ref was not near the box at the time and the player had his back to the ref and was blocking the view of the ball, I thought it was a good call by the ref not to be influenced by the crowd, who shout penalty if one of their players so much as looks on the ground in the penalty area. Barcelona were the team, that the ref sent off, one of their defenders, while he and the forward were running for the ball ,the forward actually tripped over his own feet ,when they showed it again in slow motion, so that is the mistake that the ref made in my opinion, so who was he biased against ?.and when Barcelona were down to ten men they never panicked, they played the exact same, as if they had eleven men, and scored a good goal to send them to Rome, so let's hope we see a good game in Rome, and that the best team wins.
