We dont have a spell checker
Hmm, that would explain it. Must be something I done here.

edit: Yep. I was using IE. Still works in FF beta2.

In Fx you can accidentally disable the spell checker if you right click and hit the letter S....

I personally use Spellbound II (modded {maxVersion bumped} by yours truly over at AMI) and am loving it - I did a full write up on how to get it working in Fx 3.x (and can confirm it works on 3.1 as well). See SpellBound II {Discussion} - Add-ons Mirror for instructions, and SpellBound-II v2.2 (FX) - Add-ons Mirror for the modded version.

See SpellBound II {Discussion} - Add-ons Mirror (same thread as first post, just further down the chain) for screen shots as to how I have my Spellbound set up.

Finally, it *does* have some quirks - namely, if you try replace all / ignore all, then it tends to skip misspelled words, and if you start making corrections, the scroll bar on the left goes away....

Also, on this forum, the default text editor for the quick reply is the Rich text editor, which breaks Spellbound if no text is selected - but I just turn off the Rich text editor as I like to use BBCodeXtra as an extension as well, which allows me far more manipulation options for text...and all from the context menu....

I have set the skin as default for a few days to see how it effects traffic.

Just one thing I've noticed - the Fixed version (thanks BTW from us luddites),
    doesn't have the right logo

If the traffic improves with the skin change (as it did over @ x64) I will get all the source files together again and change it.
