    For instance, take the first sentence of this post. To my ear it sounds correct to say it as I wrote it, but it sounds as correct if I end that sentence in English for me, in English to me or of English to me.
    All of the red text is correct, it is just a matter of preference.

    Your example is like when I was teaching a scripting class with 40 students. I ask them all to write a simple script. I had 40 different scripts that ALL did the same thing.

    It's correct, Kari - just *very* old usage. Meaning people spoke English like that a few hundred years ago.

    Today we usually just 'have breakfast'.
