Jewerly actually. worst customer service in the world.....

Heres what happened: (Mods if you feel inappropriate, please remove. I am peeved though....)

I purchased a $3000 ring for my wife with a 1/2 karate center diamond. When I proposed to my wife, the same night, she noticed a line in it. We looked and it was a definite crack. We took it in and one person said it was a crack. Another said it was not a crack and nothing would be done about it. We had them cleaned and checked as we were supposed to, but there is no documentation on their system about the cleanings. (Now I find out this) We told them straight off that it was cracked from the get-go. We have been told off on multiple occasions that nothing would be done.

So I brought it in to finally get this resolved after having another Jewelry store confirm that it is a crack. The people at the store would not honor the warranty as there was no documentation. Today I demanded they fix it or they would loose my business and anyone elses that I can influence. The manager didn't care about any of this or call anyone higher up to see what could be done. Nothing.

So Their moto on the flyer is

"Your Total Satisfaction is our #1 Goal"

But its not. Their business is exactly that. Just business. They don't care about their customers one bit. Nor are they worried about satisfying anyone.

So the customer service # is 800-877-8812

We called and they said that in order to have a claim or any hope of getting any resolution to this, we would need print outs of all of the services rendered as proof. The customer is required of this. not the business. So even though these should be in the database, they didn't log any of it and we didn't know to get printouts. So the manager and customer support has blamed us for the inability to get this replaced. No fault on their part.

Really I don't know how any of these people sleep at night except that they obviously have no ethics on this level.
I'm NOT one to sue.. however in this case I'd go to small claims court.. if for no other reason to make a point and let the world know how they do their business !!!!
    Look at this - here

Contact the Better Business Bureau First ...
Kay's will have to respond to the BBB in writing.
This will give you a written response that you can use as evidence in small claims court.
You might also want to contact the state attorney general with a complaint.

I used these procedures to Sue a Lawyer in Small Claims (Indiana) ..
He wound up begging me to settle out of court.

The attorney general told me that since he did nothing unethical .. There was nothing they could do ..
but it appeared that I had a case for court.
Does this mean being a crook and running a scam is ethical ??

    noyb,
That's one attorney general (lawyer) looking out for their own kind(the lawyer you sued). They all should be used for Shark bait!

Bad customer service should never be accepted by those who do business with them!..!!.
if this is let pass.. things will only get worse.
Take then to the BBB.. as noyb said above..
make them wish they had done what was right to begin with.

Not all Lawyers or Attorney Generals are crooks.. the bad ones make the Honest/ Good ones look bad... that's part of my point.

You can also record any phone call in Indiana ... And you do NOT have to tell them.
Indiana has a one party notification law ..
Meaning that only One Party of the conversation (you) has to be notified that it's being recorded.
Just make sure the call does not cross state lines.

I've done this twice .. Once on an exwife .. The second time on the lawyer.
I think the Lawyer figured it out when one of my complaints (responses) to the BBB quoted his foul language...
    .. For which I apologized

    LPt,
You are absolutely right about not all AG's or attorney's are crooks.
Bad news travels at lightening speed and good news at a snails pace.
The BBB is a great place to start and just make sure you document everything and I mean everything you can to get their attention.
