We have just found out that dad's operation is on 6/10/10 (time not known yet), so it is a fortnight tomorrow.

The UK uses a different dating convention.
M'Lady, they use DD/MM/YY or DD/MMM/YYYY as does much of the world including the US military. Makes sorting by date easy.
