Be strong, but most of all be calm, your manager may be a bad person, but it is more likely that his/her manager may be pressuring them, and they are just taking things out with you as the target.
What you did in spending time with your Mom was the right thing to do, you only get one Mom, there are other jobs, don't try to lose your job over recent events, but keep being the good son you obviously are

it would be much better if it did cd's and blu-ray too.
according to the picture, it has a switch for 'dvd' and 'mp3' only...
