Thanks noobvious. I was reluctant to post all this here, but I am re-assured that I made the right decision in doing so. your support is most appreciated.

The car had only $600 left till it was paid off. then no car payments! oh well.

As for your friend, I was alone both times I had them. they are bad. and there's really no way of stopping a panic attack. you just have to let it run its course. I am glad you were there for your friend. I am sure that your being there helped tremendously.

Sorry to hear about your problems Thorsen but as one of the others said cars can be fixed humans can't so I'm pleased to hear that you are both alright.

I can't really imagine how you cope with panic attacks as it's not something that I've had or have any knowledge of but I hope that you can get the best medicine that you need to alleviate the situation and as long as you know we are all here for you so you will always have someone who will listen to you

I just read that Apple have opened their 300th store in London. It's the biggest in the world apparently.
They already have one. It's just one shop. Not that big.
Says here it takes £60 million over the counter a year.
That's just incredible even though they don't make nothing cheap I hear

Today I am going to a big family breakfast at a local diner to remember my uncle who passed away last week. The breakfast comes as a relief to me, as I don't have any clothes to wear that would have been suitable to wear to a more official service.
Hi noobvious.. It's NOT the clothing that counts.. it's your heart.. ..your heart iw wonderful.
Yes this would be a relief.. it's really a strain on all when a family member has left us..I hope the next few days go off without a hitch. May he rest in peace.
    Prayers for you all.

Ok I figured I would post this since I have been not around since last Thursday.

Last week, on Thursday, I had some anxiety issues and went home for lunch to try and relax. While there, my wife and I decided I should go to the hospital. On the way to the hospital, a car backed up into our front end. And then he jetted. (Hit and Run!!!) We got his license plate before he took off. My car was making noises so we pulled off the road and we called for an ambulance, and both of us went to the hospital. Me for panic atacks, my wife for back and knee pain. wow right?

So.... my car was able to make it home after the hospital, but insurance company towed it to assess damage. I just got a rental car today and found out that my almost completely paid off car is totalled. We will get some money back but it is an old car so probably not much. It would have been nice having no car payments, but it looks like God wants us to have a new car and new car payments (even though we really dont want a car payment). (Thank you btw)

Silver lining... no serious injuries or life threatening stuff, and a new(ish) car.... otherwise, still suffering from anxiety, Medication is making me sick... don't like mood enhancers (which is what they gave me?)... have no mulla for new car... have to look for a new car and hope its not a lemon... <<< lots of un-needed stress there too...

All and all a crazy weekend. good to be back at work although a little stressful, I am managing.

(to link back to LW7, I might take up pole dancing too if these car payments are too high)
Thorsen, so sorry to hear this, I hope you are ok buddy

Today (well, this evening) I have just found out how it is so much harder helping someone on the phone (in this instance, Windows Live Call) than in Sevenforums. Here, you don't stutter, you don't pause for thought in mid-conversation and you can be who you want to be. My cousin was having trouble with her webcam, and I was trying to explain drivers and compatibility etc. Right now she is installing the latest messenger, hoping to get her webcam to work on messenger/live calls.

Now the rest of my family know what a little nerd I really am Compared to lots of you guys, it was a no-brainer!!
Dom, you are too hard on yourself. We all think very highly of you. None of us is perfect, if we were, I'm sure I couldn't stand it, lol. You need to have confidence, I think you are farther along than I was at your age.

Thorsen.. Bless you.. I hope you find the just right vehicle for you and the wife..
sorry that's about my luck ...I carry all this car insurance then get hit by a guy who had none..
Soo glad you were not seriously injured..things could have been a lot worse as you already know..
This is where your friends are.. so sound off if you need to.. cleanses the soul... helps you and us to know we aren't the only ones with any kind of issues..
Glad to have you back in one piece.

Phone support is always a PITA - I refuse to do it

It's nasty/dirty feeling medicine. Thanks for the info on Citalopram.
Most medications have an 'adjustment period' with unpleasant side effects. If they are extreme or continue past the 'adjustment period' then it's definitely advisable to seek an alternative since they affect everyone differently.

Are you just taking the medication, or are you doing some CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) in conjunction with the meds?

Just be aware that it's also ill advised to 'quit' a treatment cold turkey. If you do decide to switch, it's much better to wean off the current medication before trying something different.

Thanks for the encouragement A Guy, and to the people who probably think the same. I am beginning to think I already have a career set in the computer department.
