Today the sky is falling. Already in five hours, five inches of rain ... more rain than in the entire month of August. And two or three more hours of the same to come ...
Robert hi.. send some of your rain up this way.. it's dry as a old desert bone here. I hope you live on a high hill with that much rain in a short time.
Stay safe...Sending you a rainbow.. maybe the rain will stop soon.

Thank you M'lady, it has stopped raining for a while. But a look out West foretells more rain tomorrow.

I would say by this time tomorrow the Arkansas River will be delivering a whole lot of water it got from the White River! The James River basin received 10 inches of rain just today. And yes, I live on high ground, not flood prone, but still there was standing water covering 90% of my front yard!

    I'll take your rainbow anytime!

    Thanks!

Robert hi.. I hope you won't be needing an ark....if so I'll need to go googling to find one for ya. I'm sure glad you live where it is high .. let's hope this will pass over you before long... move on southeast.
I do hope to get some of the rain that's trying to cross our state tonite..:)

I hope I won't be needing that ark either! I know 10 inches in ten hours doesn't help the farmers, most of it just runs off and goes downstream. Would rather have a little at a time ...

Congrats on the dedication to the Gym! I just purchased a treadmill as I just sit on my a** all day instead of running service calls. My brain gets a workout, but my body will need to stimulation as well. A Guy

Nahh, im 23 lol, I have been unemployed for 6 months, so I have to do 12 weeks Work Experience with the Community Task Force, basically so it doesn't look like I have just been sitting on my backside for the last 6 months.

As a man of 72 I get a little involved in the Local Comminity Task Force here in SW Cornwall. Would be very interested to hear your impression over your first few days. Is it a worthwhile enterprise? Do your fellow workers really believe in the idea and do they seem enthusiastic? PM me if you would prefer to not make your views public. I am just interested and wouldn't quote you so there is no need hold back any strong views you may have. Would really appreciate your feedback!
