You are not going to do anything to yourself or the computer. Just make sure you touch the case before you touch anything else like the others have said. When you stick your hand inside, it is easy to touch a plug and knock it out of the socket, just be careful of that. == A couple of folks in this thread said to leave it plugged in. I have never done that, why would you leave it plugged in?

Unexpected behavior of Windows 7 while un-installing the application

Dear Windows 7 folks,
I have an application program installed on Windows 7 32 bits machines. I keep open the program's IDE and try to run the Setup.exe of the same program and select "Remove" option.
For the first time it says "File in Use"; but once I click on "Retry" button, my application program starts removing (un-installing) the application.
Same scenario has not been observed with Windows 2003 Server
Is this a new feature with Windows 7? Do you have any idea of it?
Thanks
JP

I always move it off of carpeting, unplug it, then push
the power button. Never had a problem.

I read some place this guy opened his box and it had a Black Widow living in it and it attacked him and he died so you may want to be on the lookout for this

A black widow bite is fatal to a child or an elderly person. It is rarely fatal to a healthy adult. There is no chance it would go inside a PC either, with large moving fans and rare chance at catching prey.

Oh, it's quite possible there may be a black widow inside a PC:
