Solved BSOD After SPSS V.19 Installation

To all the genius out there....I really need your great knowledge to help me out please.

I installed SPSS V.19 on my laptop last night and it caused me a BSOD straight away when I tried to double click to open the program. I have tried to re-installed it for a few times but the problem still exist. I obtained the SPSS disc from my university with the license as well. There was no error at all during the installation. It went perfectly well all the way. License authorization was succeeded with no problem too.

I've attached all the minidump files + perfmon.html for your information.

Sorry if my explanation has confused you. I'm kinda new with using thread forum.

Update (or uninstall if not needed) the software\driver for Asus Data Security Manager Driver

ASUSTeK Computer Inc. -Support- Drivers and Download


Update software\driver for ASUS NB Probe program yours is old from 20-Aug-03 no way to be compatible with windows 7.

ASUSTeK Computer Inc. -Support- Drivers and Download


Update software\driver for RIM Virtual Driver (probably associated with a Blackberry)

Update software\driver for Suyin USB 2.0 Webcam driver

http://www.suyin.com/en/main.html


Remove avg from your system.


Download,install and use Microsoft Security Essentials with windows firewall.


Run http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/1538-sfc-scannow-command-system-file-checker.html you may need to run it 2-3 times to "fix" everything.


Run http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/105647-ram-test-memtest86.html
Leave it to run overnight.


Finish and post back.

Done everything as you suggested and now my laptop is back to normal. SPSS is working now also. Thank you once again for your advice. Most appreciated

So far so good.

Now,we want to ensure that everything is working ok.

Work,play as usual,give it time and tomorrow post back with news.

Just to update....My system is all well now. SPSS is running fine too. No more BSOD.
