I already tried with windows 7 generic driver, 9.7, 9.8, 9.9, 9.10(beta)

I know this is becoming a problem for lots of users but until now , and in any of the treads i read , there wasnt a final conclusion about it.

I would like to know if someone as way of getting this solved.

Thanks for your time and excuse me for my bad typing skills.

Pedro

Can you upload the actual dump files. Our guys can do much more with them than the text. I do notice in the text a mention of you atikmdag.sys file which is part of the ATI driver.

Unfortunately, there's nothing here to "debug". Not unless you're an ATI driver developer anyway.

Stop 0x116 = VIDEO_TDR_ERROR

The OS "timeout detection and recovery" (TDR) mechanism has noticed that the combination of the video driver plus the video card has been unresponsive to important commands for an unacceptably long period of time. After several attempts at regaining the attention of the video card+driver, and even a "restart yourself" instruction, the OS has decided that it has no option but to flag the condition as a BSOD.

(Analysis of the minidump would show nothing but the TDR subsystem going "I give up - the video has gone bye-byes.")

As a suggestion, make sure nothing in the system is over-clocked or inadequately cooled. If you're already running the latest driver, then it's down to trial-and-error stuff like reseating the video card, cleaning its contacts with compressed air, putting it in a different slot, detuning its settings to something very conservative...

This has nothing to do with W7 sadly, it's a driver issue with ATI since 9.X. Go to control panel and install an 8.X or early 9.X driver, they don't have the atikmdag.sys issue.

You're not alone in this, once you start a 3D program this issue will manifest itself in XP-Vista-W7. It starts to get progressively worse too, at first you will randomly get crashes, after a while it will be every 5 minutes, then every second, ultimately you will get BSoD unless you managed to get a working driver without this issue.

I'm amazed that ATI can't find a solution to this, since there's thousands of people with atikmdag.sys issues. ATM there are no real solutions but reverting to an old driver which didn't have this issue.
