system 32\config.nt file missing problem

    system 32\config.nt file missing problem


    I've tried to google this but no luck...just explanations for XP,so here I am

    In this case i want to instal simple lil game for me kid and just won't install. warning window tell me that this config.nt file is missing.
    Any1 can help? thank you

    Hi and welcome

    If you install the game in compatibility mode (right click installer>properties>compatibily mode>check xp) It might run. Obviously an older game.

    hey thanks zizgzag3143 but I've tried that already and nothing.I tried to change in windows98/ME too and nothing....
    any other suggestions?

    Are you using a "found" version of Windows instead of a version straight from Microsoft? That could be the issue here.

    I'd try to run from an elevated command prompt:

    sfc /scannow

    Here's the autoexec file for Windows\System32:

    yea I'm sorry to say that but yea i use,as u said, "found" version

    but this works now! the game is working thanks a lot! my kid is running around me because of this +1 rep to you both
