The sig should be in PNG, specially when it is not a square one, to support transparency . Just download the PNG, and upload it as it is . The SF will automatically convert it as a GIF .

It may be contradictory , but the native format is PNG, which shows as GIF . The attached shot will express this.

If you upload any format other than PNG, it will loss its transparency, as it is happened for Jihad .

i saved the image in fullsize, and i can view it in full size, but when i upload it, the size changes to 433 x 100 pixels?

You need over 100 posts to be able to have a sig pic 650*150.
I'll change the sizes now.
