    Restore Windows 7 Default Icons


    Hi
    I managed to change DELL theme to restore Windows 7 standard theme
    the problem now is that Folders still have DELL icons when use large icons
    i deleted this key from Regedit but still getting them!!!
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Shell Icons
    also deleted the iconcache.db and still get them !!!

    Any idea?!

    I have done that already

    the problem is that i only get these DELL Icons when Folder is NOT empty and Large Icons
    if its empty or small icons i get the default windows 7 icons...

    does not work...
    when i restore default as in the link you sent it shows DELL icons !!

    If its only on the large icons and "in-use" or Active Folders you need to delete your thumbs cache. The view isn't (technically) of icons, it's of images.

    GoTo Start > My computer > right click C: or your System Hard Disc Drive, select Properties, select Disk Cleanup. When its done its search, make sure to tick Thumbnails. Run the Cleanup. Re-start your PC.

    The suggestion given by Lasy B should work . If it also does not work, try Icons- Change Using resource Hacker ,
    Change the icons Supplied in Desktop.zip with corresponding numbers of icon groups in imageres.dll .

    The Dell icons are not in your system anymore . Now rebuild your icon cache once .
