You can't change the window colors?

I am right in assume you can't change the colors inside the windows if you run Aero?

My Firefox looks ok on XP, but gets a slightly sicking blue tint on Windows 7.

    Going to
"Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Personalization\Window Color and Appearance"

Only allows me to change the border of the window, not the tool areas inside the window.

(Does one have to use a sort of theme editor to hack this?)

Hello EpiCenter, and welcome to Seven Forums.

Yes, you would be correct. You would have to be using the Windows Classic theme to be able to change the colors.

    Hope this helps,
    Shawn

    You're welcome.

Unfortunately, you will have to use a 3rd party program like Stardock WindowsBlinds to be able to change and customize Windows 7 like that instead.

Thank you. You are very knowledgeable.
I just thought that there might have been a theme editor.

    EpiCenter,

Windows 7 only has the basics like in OPTION ONE of the tutorial below to change the theme with. MS has to be basic to avoid getting a antitrust lawsuit from the program developers of pay for theme customization programs.
