1. What is brand (Manufacturer) of the drive?
2. You named the current name or it came (as a part of any package) with that name?

Try this tool: Download HP USB Disk Storage Format Tool 2.2.3 Free - Windows-based Format Utility for HP Drive Key or DiskOnKey USB Device - Softpedia

did you try to drag the folder into CCleaner? ..and this could be malware too..!

As Richard's method failed, its hard to say any solution by me (as you requested me personally to solve ).

I can only suggest seek ScanDisk support: SanDisk Technical Support - Welcome!

They have extensive social networking too, you can seek their help too (if not solved by other members here, later.)
